About Cramlington Archers
Based at the Cramlington Sports Village, we are a friendly, passionate group of archers providing courses and training sessions for new and experienced archers alike. Our aim is to promote the sport of archery and create a community of archers who can learn, grow and compete together. We offer a range of courses and workshops, from beginner to advanced levels, with experienced coaches who are dedicated to helping you improve your skills.
Our facilities cater for target archery and we welcome all types of bows that are recognised by Archery GB with the exception of crossbows. Our members predominately shoot olympic recurve, but we also have compound, barebow and longbow shooters.

OUR COACHES
We currently have three Level 1 Session Coaches in the club who run the beginner's sessions and offer support to our members. We understand that everyone has different goals in regard to their shooting and we have an 'opt in' approach to coaching, we will offer advice where we see issues with technique but our primary goal is to ensure that all of our members enjoy their shooting.

I have been shooting for more than 30 years, on and off. After I hadn't shot for a while I was chatting with a friend about how I couldn't get to a club and he told me to stop whining and set one up I can get to. So together Richard and I founded Cramlington Archers. Since then I have taken my Coaching qualifications and been the Chair of the club. I regularly attend tournaments and once managed second place in the Indoor County Champs - I think the good archers must have been off poorly...

I started shooting as a teenager at a school club, enjoying the sport it didn't take me long to join a local club and start my 'proper shooting' journey. I shot regularly for ten years or so until graduating and moving away for work. Fast forward to 2021 and with move free time I joined Cramlington Archers. Having been a member for a couple of years I became a Level 1 Session Coach to help support and grow the club.
I mainly shoot recurve, but can be occasionally be seen shooting a compound.
